Description
Up for bid is an extremely rare LP, "12 String Blues," by Leo Kottke. This is an original private press, limited to 1000 copies. This was released by Oblivion (obl-S1) in 1969. This is Leo Kottke's debut LP, and was released prior to his signing to a major label. Here is some extra info from the internet:
"The majority of the album was recorded live at the Ten O'Clock Scholar, a Minneapolis coffee house. Three of the instrumentals were recorded in a studio. The LP record was a limited edition of 1000 copies, on the Minneapolis-based Oblivion Records (apparently this is their only album)."
LP is VG+, with scuffs on either side and a couple of tiny light scratches on track 1 on side 1 (this track is included below for reference). LP plays with some surface noise (crackle, tics, and several pops). LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss. Interior labels are very clean. Etched matrix info for side A reads ADEN - 1A followed by what looks to be a "U" with a dot over the top, followed by 16715. Etched matrix info for side B reads ADEN - 1B followed by what looks to be a "U" with a dot over the top, followed by 16715. Listen to several tracks from this actual LP for reference:
Jacket is VG++, still in the original shrink wrap. There is residue on the outside of the front of the shrink wrap from an original price sticker (see pictures). There is a small breathing hole in the shrink wrap on the front of the jacket. There is a small tear in the shrink wrap on the back near the center of the spine. Exposed portion of the jacket is unaffected. Don't miss this rare gem! We will pack this securely for safe delivery - this will be a little heavy due to the inserts we put in the LP mailer. Domestic delivery will be via USPS media mail including a tracking number. International delivery is First Class International, registered.
