I clean my records on my EPI cleaner and audition them on my Music Hall turntable before listing, if the appearance of the recording requires it. Otherwise, I would rather not subject a record to further handling or playing time. I pay particular attention to the critical first band and any areas where a blemish or other mark appears on the surface. I am conservative in my ratings to avoid misleading buyers.
It is virtually impossible to deliver a record that is completely free of dust and surface static. Before playing, please dust the record and neutralize the surface with the appropriate cleaning material or device.
