This is the original 1985 London cast album of Les Misérables, produced by Cameron Mackintosh and recorded shortly after the show’s debut at the Barbican Theatre. This double LP features the Royal Shakespeare Company cast, including Colm Wilkinson, Patti LuPone, and Michael Ball, and remains one of the definitive early recordings of the world-famous musical.
Condition:
• Vinyl: VG+ : Cleaned on a VPI record cleaning machine. Playtested with only occasional pops and light crackles; overall plays beautifully with excellent clarity and minimal background noise.
• Jacket: VG : Moderate edge and corner wear, light ring wear starting to appear, general shelf wear consistent with age. Gatefold is intact with nice gloss and clean artwork.
• Inserts: Both original lyric inner sleeves included and in good condition.
Notes:
• Classic gray cover with the iconic Cosette illustration.
• Produced under license from First Night Records, U.K.
• One of the most collectible early cast recordings of Les Misérables, notable for capturing the energy and sound of the original London production that would go on to inspire the Broadway version.
