Description

This is the original deep-groove pressing of Lester Young “Lester Swings Again” on the yellow trumpeter labels of Norgran MGN 1093. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated cover is clean throughout, with slight shelf wear and normal age toning on the back; the top seam shows 2” wear at the center; slight lamination lifting along the opening; light wear at three corners. The cover is signed twice by Lester Young: the back has his full signature; the front shows a partial “Lester” along the A in “Again”, probably due to the pen’s inability to write on the lamination. The record comes from the estate of Lester’s personal physician. Personnel include Oscar Peterson, John Lewis, Ray Brown, J.C. Heard, and Jo Jones. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL.
