On offer is a copy of the much sought after and very rare Lightnin' Hopkins album 'A Rooster Crowed in England', originally released in the UK in 1959 on the highly collectible 77 Records, and limited to just 99 copies for Tax reasons. That it has to be said is subject to suspicion as there are almost as many copies listed on Popsike alone as were supposedly pressed! I imagine it was released several times through the 60's. That said it is a tough album to find and a must have album for the Hopkins fans, it is a superb collection of country blues originally recorded in 1954. It comes from our own collection and has been well cared for.
The vinyl is graded Excellent and is very clean. - no marks at all and only a few careful plays, playback is suprisingly good with only light occassional background noise.
The fragile glossy fully laminated flip back cover is graded Excellent, the reverse is clean and glossy with some light signs of ageing. The spine is solid and all text is legible.
Labels are Excellent and very clean.
The Insert is in Excellent condition but has been folded in half.
Plain paper poly-lined inner sleeve.
