Description
Prestige Bluesville 1070, “Smokes Like Lightning” from 1963. Trident-label vinyl plays at VG+ to VG++ with minimal background sound; the vinyl has a few light scuffs but nothing beyond that. The jacket is about VG with a solid bottom seam but with seam cracking on the top and spine; there is a 2” (6 cm) split at the top opening and a short split at the top left corner. There is also some ringwear, but the jacket is basically clean with no bends or writing – just a “Preview Copy” stamp. Lightnin’ plays with backup including Spider Kilpatrick, Buster Pickens, and Billy Bizor. Numbers are “T Model Blues”, “Jackstropper Blues”, “You Cook All Right”, “My Black Name”, “Never Miss Your Water”, “Let’s Do the Suzie-Q”, “Ida Mae”, “Smokes Like Lightnin”, and “Prison Farm Blues”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
