Description
This is the only copy I have ever seen from Lightnin Hopkins and its called "Sings the Blues" This is a 1962 press on US Imperial records and the record number is LP-9186. The Cover looks good for its age. The spine looks good and you can read the title of the lp (see photo) the title is well centered on the spine. The top of the cover has some wear and the bottom of the cover looks quite good. I have photos of all of these. The lp looks great but the pressing from Imperial is not an audiophile pressing. If I would visually grade this lp I would consider a mint minus. I DO NOT visually grade my records, I play grade my records. This one has some noise that seems to be in the actual pressing. You can hear the noise between the tracks. There are a couple of pressing bumps where you can hear a low noise Thump in about 2 or 3 revolutions when you play the lp. There are also a few light crackles (LET ME EMPHASIZE THE WORD LIGHT) in the lp. All in all it still plays very well with no loud clicks in the record. I give it a vg+ to mostly vg++. It sounds like a blues lp that is close to 60 years old. If you are looking for a record that sounds like a cd or a Mobile Fidelity pressing this is not the one. It has a few light issues but a nice listen all the way through. It kind of sounds the way it should. Photos are of the actual item up for bid. I really do my best to grade my records and am proud of my feedback. Please note I ship world wide but....... I DO NOT USE EBAY'S GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM.
