Condition: bought new, excellent condition, disc is visually perfect with no surface marks or scratches, hardly played. Sleeve is in perfect condition.
Why is this lp special? This is one of a small number of records pressed specially, in limited quantities, by Nimbus for the magazine Hi-Fi Today. (I have a copy of Miles Davis' Kind of Blue for sale too.) The original WEA lp, which I owned in the 70s, was of poor quality suffering from end of side distortion. I tried at least two pressings and they were just the same. The CD of this record was done many years ago, and has not been updated. Recently there was a Japanese remastered CD, which the engineer did very poorly (he also made a hash of several great 70s Ry Cooder recordings). The original CD is better. So, in my opinion, this Nimbus pressing is the best-sounding issue of this lp in any format.
General: this lp is one of a few hundred I am selling which I have had in storage for over a decade. All the discs I bought new - the majority - are in excellent condition and have only been carefully played on a good turntable (with a Rega RB300 arm and ATC cartridge). Some older, more obscure, records were obtained second hand and their quality varies. (Note: I inspect each lp before describing its condition above.)
