Description
A couple of VERY RARE Acetate masters from Little Richard !! Both released in 1956. First Is "Have Some Fun Tonight" better known as "Long Tall Sally". Reached #1 on Billboards Top 100. And was ranked #56 on Rolling Stone Magazines list of 500 Greatest songs of all time !! There is some wear on disk, its a one sided acetate, the side with music is around the edge. The back side does have some chips and pieces missing (please see pics). Acetates were not made to last long, only for the artist to review and that's it. So considering their age, their in pretty good shape. Both play through well with no skips or jumps.
The second disk is "Girl Can't Help It". The song was cut for the film "The Girl can't Help It"originally.j It reached#49 on Billboards top 100. Was covered by many artist/bands such as; The Animals, The Everly Brothers, Flannin Groovies, Led Zeppelin, Mick Ronson and Babes in Toyland. This disk does have some wear along the edge also, and like the other it's single sided with the back having some cracks in the vinyl covering the metal disk (please see pics). It plays through with no skips, or jumps. As in all acetates, they are not made to last for long at all. Only long enough for the artist to review and play a handful of times. Considering their age, they are in really good condition !! A great piece of music history. An amazing addition to any record or music collection.
