Little Willie John "Sure Things" ultra rare original UK

black gold Parlophone MONO LP.

**Includes "Sleep", "Walk Slow", "My Love Is", "There's A Difference",

"You Hurt Me", "I'm Shakin'"

**of potential interest to fans of The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Elvis...

cat # PMC 1163, Parlophone black / gold labels, 1961

VINYL:

Visually: VG++ / NM. Record is USED, but in very collectible condition (please see photos.)

Some sleeve-removal-type scuff marks when the record is examined carefully under

bright light, but the vinyl is very clean. The labels look fantastic, with only two small markings

near the spindle hole on the label of Side Two.

Audio: LP plays VG++ / NM. While there are touches of minimal surface noise in the form of

'static' or light 'crackle' on the odd occasion as would be the case for any USED record, these are non-intrusive. The record plays well, the music is generally well to the forefront throughout.

Great sound on this pressing too: a very enjoyable listening experience. Both sides of the LP

play right through without 'skips', 'sticks' or 'jumps'.

COVER:

is in Good or Very Good condition for its age, depending on your criteria. The opening has

a little wear, some dirt in places (please see photo). There is some creasing, which is also feelable,

on the front of the cover. Additional flaws include corner wear, markings, staining. There is a tear

to the back of the sleeve (photographed), plus a date written in pencil "2/1/62" (photographed).

However, despite signs of its age and the flaws noted above, the laminated cover still has plenty

of shine, and the cover image still looks great. The flipback sleeve is intact with no seam splits.

The original inner sleeve is in Poor condition, with creasing and yellowing, but it is intact.

All in all, there are some imperfections to the cover, but the vinyl is still in very collectible condition.

As serious collectors will know, the UK Parlophone pressing of this album seldom turns up for sale.
