Description
The Yardbirds Live at the Anderson Theatre in NYC is a classic album. With songs like I'm Confused and White Summer, it was clear that the Yardbirds were morphing into a new band that would soon be Led Zeppelin. It was released in two forms on vinyl, one in the sixties and one in the seventies. This is the seventies release on Columbia Special Products, P 13311, distributed by Sutton. This is considered just as rare as the original according to Goldmine. I worked in a record store through the seventies so I remember some of the circumstances. This CSP version was released and withdrawn almost immediately due to a legal entanglement. We couldn't even order it for our store the week it came out. This copy is pristene and flat. It is still sealed with no attempt to ever open it. There's maybe a quarter inch tear of the shrink wrap at one corner. There is no surface wear to the cover. Anything you see in the scan that looks like a scuff is reflection on the shrink. I see a few bumps along the top edge. Look directly above the letter R in Yardbirds but that's it folks. This is a beautiful LP showing no wear. And since its sealed, you know the LP itself is perfect. I've stored it very well since the mid seventies.
