Collectable London Blue Back in very nice condition. This is the London Records version of Decca SXL 2246. Red Label Stereo with original London ffss Inner bag.

London ffss inner sleeve has a bit of yellowing from age but no folds or splits. Label has no spindle marks. Vinyl has a few visual scuffs and hairlines... plays fine save for a very occasional surface noise/crackle.

Side One
1. Overture: "The Hebrides" (Fingal's Cave)
2. "The Scotch" Op.56

Side Two
3. "The Scotch" Op.56

Review: The marvelous Swiss conductor Peter Maag leads the London Symphony Orchestra performing Mendelssohn's "Scotch" or "Scottish" Symphony, recorded in 1960. A gloriously warmhearted and energetic performance, Maag's interpretation has set the recorded standard for this work! The recording captures wonderful chemistry between Peter Maag and the London Symphony Orchestra. It's Mendelssohn performed at its best, which is saying a lot!
