Description
London CS 6205, “French Overtures”, Offenbach, Herold, Auber, Lalo - Ansermet, L’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, 2E/1E, blueback, ffss pressing. This is NOT a reissue – it is the original 50+ year old, ffss pressing. This is another of the great early London’s. It is rated 17 out of 20 by Moon and Gray - the sound is rich and full with a huge sound stage, and lots of reverberation. This copy looks and plays virtually new. I cannot find anything wrong with it. The vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy, and EXCEPTIONALLY quiet with NO pops, clicks, tics, or skips - it is perfectly quiet with NO marks whatsoever. The vinyl looks and plays near mint. The labels look new – 1 faint spindle trail - probably played once (see photos). The jacket looks new and grades NM. There are no seam splits or any other defects. The inner sleeve is slightly wrinkled, so I will grade it NM-. In summary, this is a near MINT copy of this wonderful golden age recording. Feel free to return for a full refund if not completely satisfied. Shipping is free anywhere in the continental US.
