Description
1967 original USA pressing on the VERVE record label.
This is one of the most important records ever made and as the great Lester Bangs wrote , this album is responsible for the creation of thousands of bands .One of the most influential records ever made . I was listning to an old 1972 Lou Reed interview just the other day to my amazment he told the interviewer he wrote Heroin in 1962 !
The vynil is in pristeen condition and the labels are bright and clean .As you can see theres a lot of White on this album sleeve and like the Beatles white album its prone to being a dirt magnet . So i have to say this item is ridiculasly clean ! The card stock that this great sleeve is made of is really thick and heavy duty ,like all the old records were . The spine is fully intackt .More importantly the banana is fully intact , not only that but it still has the brand of the banana sticka on it , DOLE , (Dole are the worlds second biggest banana distributers) this `makers sticka is something ive not seen before . Do any exist with Fyffes or ,Chiquita or Windwood ???
Anyway ,here it is , a great original piece of rock history with the built in original piece of Andy Warhol pop art cover the famouse Banana LP the exploding plastic inevitable .

Ok , ive had tons of email asking for detailed descriptions of the vynil and how it plays ,if theres anything else ask early and i will add it to the description.
I test played it today (£1000 Stereo , its quite sensative) .There are no skips jumps or sticking anywhere on the disc at all (the arm even picks up at the end from the dead wax both sides) . The vynil has a few hairlines that do NOT MAKE A SINGLE SOUND AT ALL THROUGHOUT THE PLAYING OF THE LP.
With the volume turned up loud , i could only hear 2 (AND I MEAN TINY clicks in between 2 of the songs ), they are hardly worth mentioning and did not interfere with any of the play .
So to grade the playing of the record as Very Good +++ still seams unfair its at the least mint minus. Its Superb.I havent cleaned the record i believe thats the duty of the new owner so who knows... cleaned with the correct produckts it may even be improoved upon. But to me it dose not need cleaning , just a wipe eack time its played to remoove the dust particles that are in the air .
Its a lovely record.
