Description

Louis Armfield's Spiritual Jazz Quintet "Seven Spirits" LP on his own Victoria-Judith label from 1981 (which seems to have been manufactured by Black Lion). Killer set of spiritual / modal jazz from Armfield featuring Rashid Al-Akbar on bass, Sumire Nukina on piano, Helga Meza on conga, and Roger Baird on drums. Armfield has played and recorded with the likes of Sunny Murray, Glenn Spearman, Francois Tusques, etc., but this was his only effort as a leader. Record: VG++ ; Jacket: VG+(+) with small split on spine, and crease in lower right corner. Priority shipping in the US is $6 for first LP; please write for shipping quote if overseas.

Please be sure to check my other auctions for more improv / spiritual / afro / private press / free jazz. Good Luck!
