Description
The product is a RARE 78 RPM record featuring Louis Armstrong and Bobby Breen on the RAR-ART'S PRODUCTIONS label. The record is in a paper sleeve and made of black shellac material. It is a single record in a 10" format from the 1930s and 1940s, showcasing Big Band & Swing . This vintage jazz record is in Very Good Plus (VG+) condition and includes tracks from the artists Louis Armstrong and Bobby Breen. This unique find came from an estate in Klamath Falls, Oregon which was the home of RAR-ART'S PRODUCTIONS and the infamous Stanley Floyd Kilarr who has been credited with saving lots of early country recordings and produced a very limited amount of records.
One side features Louis (Satchmo) Armstrong playing again with King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band with a recording of "SOBBIN BUES" which was recorded June 22, 1923. At the beginning there is an interview with Satchmo about his playing the slide whistle on this 1923 recording. The second side features the "Voices of Bobby Breen" in a duet of "AVE MARIA" blending the recordings of Bobby Breen at 12 years old and 24 years old. The album is pressed in VINYLUX . Kilarr proclaimed RAR-ART's the "LABEL FOR RECORD CONNOISSEURS". Stanley recorded a set of 4 albums of early country and hillbilly music. Kilarr sued the makers of "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV show for 1.5 million over the use of the name Beverly Hillbillies.....don't know how the suit was settled. Stanley also shot a 47 minute film "On The Set with The Misfits" after he was an extra in the film. "The Misfits" was the last completed film of BOTH Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable.
