I'm an audio enthusiast occasionally selling off surplus items from my own collection.
This is the Classic Records 200g LP reissue of Satchmo Plays King Oliver by Louis Armstrong. I bought and imported it direct from Classic Records many years ago when they were still in business.
I have only ever played it a couple of times on my Michell Orbe turntable with SME V tonearm and Audio-Technica AT33PTG/II moving coil cartridge so it is virtually as new.
However, please note that the record labels suffered some cosmetic damage when I was cleaning the LP on a record cleaning machine. The outer edges of the labels became moistened with record cleaning fluid and then rubbed against the vacuum wand, which took away the black colour from a very thin ring around the edge of the labels. Please see the pictures which I hope show this damage clearly.
I have since disposed of that record cleaning machine and replaced it with a Keith Monks machine. I have cleaned the LP again on the Keith Monks machine to prepare it for sale.
Also, there is a cosmetic surface mark on the last track of side one, like a thick scratch, but it does not play or make any sound.
The playback quality is excellent. Before it went out of business, Classic Records was pressing its own LPs and the quality control was not always the best but this is an exceptionally good pressing. I did notice one soft tick which repeats I think three times in My Kentucky Home but other than that I think it is as good as vinyl gets.
Please note, it's FREE shipping in the UK for this item. The record will be packed outside the album cover in a spare inner sleeve and everything will be packed in a tough cardboard box to make sure there is no possibility of any damage in the post.
