Description
Capitol T1449. A Tribute To The Delmore Brothers. Mono. The cover grades VG++. A visual grade of the record is VG+ with light surface marks. See the photos for surface condition. Most of what's seen in the photos is what's referred to as "ghost image". This happens when an inner sleeve has had many decades old contact with the record without moving. That creates a type of a hazy discoloration on the surface of the vinyl. A play grade is VG++. It plays cleanly and quietly. 2 songs from this album can be heard at the bottom of this description section. BONUS COVER. In this listing I'm also including a cover only of "Tragic Songs Songs of Life" Capitol T 769. Mono. I've been holding onto this in hopes of finding a record. It's been a while so it's time to let it go.
- When the surface condition of the record needs to be seen I provide at least 1 photo. I take the photos outside on a bright sunny day. I angle the record toward the sun for the greatest visibility. No 1000 watt light bulb is as good as the sun in disclosing flaws.
GRADING
Near Mint or Mint Minus: My top grade. The record or cover will show the most minimal of wear. The record will have top gloss. The cover will be free from any ring wear, splits, or handwriting.
VG++ : Not quite Near Mint but a super clean, desirable record.
VG+ : The record or cover will show signs of wear but no significant defects.
VG : Obvious signs of wear but the record still has life in it. VG does not mean beat.
VG Minus : The record or cover will show moderate to heavy wear. For a common record this would not be an acceptable grade. For an in-demand, rare record it should be considered.
Good : Very heavy wear. This grade would only be acceptable if the record is rare enough that you might not see another copy available for sale or it's a rare record at a low price.
