Lowest Price! - Professor Longhair Big Chief New Orleans Funk/R&B 45 Watch EX
The birth of funk, right here. This was still in the racks at Floyd's Record Store in Ville Platte in the early 90s. I brought it home from there and hardly ever played it. I already had it on CD, so the vinyl is in superb condition.
From Wikipedia
King wrote the song while attending school, and recalled the tune during a recording session with Longhair arranged by Wardell Quezergue. Longhair originally wanted to record the song with a small ensemble, but Quezergue, King, and Smokey Johnson (who also played on the session) convinced him to include an eleven- or fifteen-piece horn ensemble on the 1964 recording.
Cheapest copy, from the USA, will be around £40. The copy at £55 is a new pressing from Soul Jazz Records. Mine isn't that! Mine is an original Watch Records issued in 1964. I'll ask for £35.99 with free P&P

Everything I’m selling is from my own personal collection, built up over six decades. It’s now time to start selling, while I can.
I’m not looking to make a fortune. I’ll look for a similar listing and attempt to be cheaper than anything else I see. I’d also much rather sell to a fan than to a trader (not mutually exclusive, I know).
