I play tested this LP and it plays through with no skips or pops but surface crackle is present.

This is the ABSOLUTE 1969 ORIGINAL (and 2nd Lp by the band) and is harder to find than the also rare Self Titled 1st album or the 3rd and last Lp "Puzzle" which is most often found. Once again please watch out for reproductions of this LP. This is 100% guaranteed to be the Mega Rare Original.

In the late '60s they opened for many of the star rock bands who passed through the city, and in terms of local popularity, they were probably only second to the Nazz. (Todd Rundgren & Co.). Outside of Philadelphia, they were scarcely known, though they did manage to produce some fine vinyl psychedelia. Known as accomplished players and interesting writers, dressing their solid melodies with liberal jazz and Middle Eastern influences. Guitarist Craig Anderton became a noted music technology writer, contributing to magazines such as Electronic Musician.

Medium retained the solemn vocals and classical-tinged electronic keyboards, as well as some jazz and Indian influences from the 1st album and even drifted toward a harder rock sound . There is a bit of a resemblance in sound to the Youngbloods if they'd taken their jazzier and more experimental tendencies to more self-consciously progressive ends. There's some interesting psychedelic interplay between guitar, keyboard, and vocals. Medium is a must for fans of eerie 60's psychedelia.
