Description
Lucifer's Friend "Where The Groupies Killed The Blues" original USA. 33 1/3 rpm Long-playing (LP) phonograph record, Passport / Billingsgate Records PPSD-98008, with album cover. This stereo record album is still sealed in it's original shrink wrap. This was the second album by Lucifer's Friend. Lucifer's Friend was an awesome progressive rock/psychedelic rock/hard rock group from Hamburg, Germany. Formed in 1970, Lucifer's Friend featured Peter Hesslein (guitar, acoustic guitar, percussion, vocals), Peter Hecht (piano, organ, electric piano, Moog synthesizer, mellotron), Dieter Horns (fender bass, bass-fiddle), Joachim Rietenbach (drums, percussion), and John Lawton (drums). John Lawton left in 1977 to join Uriah Heep, but returned in 1981. "Where The Groupies Killed The Blues" was originally released in 1972; this Passport / Billingsgate issue was released in the United States, in 1975. The songs on the record are (Side One) "Burning Ships" (4:32), "Prince Of Darkness" (5:37), "Hobo" (4:15), "Mother" (7:25), (Side Two) "Where The Groupies Killed The Blues" (5:07), "Rose On The Vine" (8:19), and "Summertime" (7:56), including "Delirium", and "No Reason Or Rhyme". Songwriting credits are not listed on the album cover, but probably are inside. The record was produced by Peter Hesslein, Dieter Horns, Peter Hecht, Joachim Rietenbach, C. Plank, and H. Hilderbrandt. The phonograph record is still sealed in it's original shrink wrap, has never been played, and is in mint condition. The album cover is in near mint to mint condition.
