Lucinda Williams - Lucinda Williams, Rough Trade ROUGH 130 LYRIC INNER Although her music is strongly rooted in blues and country, Williams is very much a soul singer, in that, like the best soul singers, she's able to reach down deep and belt out something beautiful, or ugly, or raw. Just listen how she sings the lines "I shout it out to the night/give me what I deserve 'cause it's my right" on "Passionate Kisses". It's so real and true and quite brilliant. Elsewhere, some great guitar work on "I Asked For Water."

Vinyl: NM. Looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time. The finish is shiny, with no visible defects. Labels are superb, clean and bright without marks. Spindle shows no sign of wear. And no warps.
