200g Vinyl Double LP! Three Sides At 33 1/3rpm With 45rpm Fourth Side! Mastered by Doug Sax and Pressed at Quality Record Pressings! Sure To Be The Best Sounding Lost Highway LP Yet!

The first three sides of this double LP are cut at 33 1/3. As a comparison bonus, the fourth side is a 45-RPM cut of two of the songs from the album, "The Girl With The Holiday Smile" and "Night's Lullaby", both written by Lyle Lovett.
Produced by Nathaniel Kunkel and Lovett himself, Release Me represents the end of an era as it’s Lyle Lovett's last record for Curb/Universal Music Group after being on the label for his entire career. Release Me is quintessential Lyle, mixing a smart collection of originals and covers that show not only the breadth of this Texas legend’s deep talents, but also the diversity of his influences, making him one of the most infectious and fascinating musicians in popular music.
Lovett's music career began as a songwriter, but he soon signed with MCA Records in 1986 and released his eponymous debut album. While typically associated with the country genre, Lovett's compositions often incorporate folk, swing, blues, jazz and gospel music as well as more traditional country & Western styling. He has won four Grammy Awards, including Best Country Album (1996 for The Road to Ensenada), Best Country Duo/Group with Vocal (1994 for "Blues For Dixie" with Texas swing group Asleep at the Wheel), Best Pop Vocal Collaboration (1994 for "Funny How Time Slips Away" with Al Green) and Best Country Male Vocal (1989 for Lyle Lovett and His Large Band).
Lyle was given an award called an "Esky" for Surest Thing in Esquire's 2006 Esky Music Awards in the April issue. The magazine said of Lovett, "The secret of Lyle Lovett's endurance comes down to the three C's: class, charisma and consistency... In the studio and on stage with his giant orchestra, he's spent two decades gracefully matching genuine songcraft with A-list musicianship."
“Baby, It’s Cold Outside” features Austin, TX-based singer Kat Edmonson on vocals.
Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lovett has evolved into one of music’s most vibrant and iconic performers. His oeuvre, rich and eclectic, is one of the most beloved of any living artist working today.
