We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

MINTY CLEAN Original 1964 first pressing (absolute FIRST pressing!) on the collected old Prestige Record label of the GREAT first Holy Modal Rounders album....a fatastic weird beaknik album, stoned out to the max...
This album is a real gem. Musically, it's got all the joy of traditional beatnik folk and bluegrass music, complete with great guitar and fiddle playing. This is balanced out by really funny nasally singing that makes the music fun in a way that's unique and doesn't take itself too seriously. To top it all off they throw in random drug references and weird abstract lyrics to the traditionals (and to the originals that sound like traditionals). While this album isn't for your parents or squares along the line, but rather the people that it is for will really love it. Any fan of offbeat "freak folk" music, should definitely check it out. Standout tracks are: Blues in a Bottle, Euphoria, Hesitation Blues, Hey Hey Baby, Mr. Spaceman, Better Things For You, and Hop High Ladies. These songs will have you tapping your toes and smiling with glee and occasionally laughing out loud. After a few listens, tracks like "Give the Fiddler a Dram", "Long John" "Moving Day" and "Bound to Lose" are equally charming. Get this if you like weird folk, if you like traditional folk music and aren't too much of a purist, or if you like bands like The Fugs. In fact, get this even if you're a square who likes Phil Collins.

Most of these songs are unrecognizable covers of traditional numbers, like Statesboro Blues and Hesitation blues. We're pretty sure Blues in the Bottle, the opener, is an original but it doesn't really matter if it is or not. We don't think there's a soul who can point a finger at this album and utter 'unoriginal'. The lyrics have all been changed from most traditional versions in hysterical ways -- like: "Black eyed Suzy" becomes: "My pretty lil' Suzy's jes half
grown/she jumps on a man like a dog on a bone," !
