We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Nice....1969 pressing vinyl in thick TEXTURED gatefold cover ...Several years before he became a *star*, the first (USA release) and arguably best BOZ SCAGGS LP just after he left the Steve Miller Band; he played on their great "Children Of The Future" and "Sailor" ... For his first album, he saved his best songs and recruited the phenomenal guitarist Duane Allman who laid down some tastey leads, to say the least....
Scaggs had released an extremely rare album in Sweden-only in 1965 called "Boz" ....
This self titled first (US) album by Boz Scaggs, who’d been playing with Steve Miller Blues Band, had relentlessly sought to be on his own, was produced by Jann Wenner, editor of Rolling Stone, back in 1969. All of the right people had all of the right things to say about an album that laid out all of the right stuff, but just never achieved the acclaim the critics had predicted.
“Loan Me A Dime,” composed by the great Fenton Robinson was the number that held this release together, it was the heart and should of the record, being one of those songs that once in your head, manages to stay there for a year or more. “Loan Me A Dime,” clocking in at twelve minutes in length, was made up of such tantalizing riffs that it became of staple of any Boz show ... though he laughingly said, ”In the beginning I didn’t mind everyone throwing those dimes at me, scooping them up after a show often netted me more than I was paid. But then people just began really pelting me with ‘em ... those little dimes hurt, so I stopped playing the song.”
Despite not rising to achieve commercial success, Duane Allman’s amazing guitar work, and the sensational backing from Muscle Shoals’ finest more than hinted at things to come, infact, BOZ never was better and listening to what was developing is pure magic. Ignore the record if you wish, won’t fault you there ... but there is no way you can ignore “Loan Me A Dime,” a timeless classic....and Duane Allman plays his ass off (& as well as he ever did).

CONDITION: The cover thick textured gatefold cover is clean, stiff "EX" (excellent) couple of corners have light dings, otherwise M- ... still looks great -- over 40 years old.
The vinyl is all glossy, smooth and clean, "EX" (excellent) not only looks clean but plays top level too ... a top copy of a great, sometimes underrated album before Boz Scaggs hit it big...
