HARD HEAVY MEAN & EVIL
SMOKIN' WILLIE
\ USA - OR Records - 006
Now rare, haven't had or seen for a long while, meaning long long gone (in private collector collections) 2ndpress with THICK cover of a 1970 rarity originally issued in a private pressing of 500 copies. The tracks below get insane treatments, living up to the band name of "Smokin' Willie'....
The mighty SMOKIN' WILLIE drives home lots of Hammond organ, up-front fuzz guitar, a truly thunderous rhythm section, & howling vocals in a raw garagey hardrock pounding attack. Six tracks including the trio blasting through intensified takes of 'Whiter Shade Of Pale', 'Evil Ways', 'Get Ready', 'Vehicle' (the Ides Of March blaster) & an unbelievable 'House Of The Rising Sun'
