BEAUTIFUL 1971 ORIGINAL first pressing...one of the *best* copies we've come across, stiff, clean and mint, well preserved over the past 38 years ... future price riser investment item, as was only in print a short time --
A few titles were almost finished before Jimi's death: ''Dolly Dagger'', ''Room Full Of Mirrors'' (with Jimi on bass as well). These are amongst the strongest of this recording (but it holds so many) . One much less known track from Hendrix that is quite strong is the instrumental ''Pali Gap'': Jimi's sensibility can fully be appreciated. It is a sweet and subtle slow rock with an incredible melody.
At this time in history (1971) there was still very good unreleased music available (which won't be the case later on) and this album is certainly one of his best (posthumous or not) studio work.
The ''Star Spangled Banner'' is an unusual take with Jimi's guitar not being mixeds high to the forefront which differs greatly to the Woodstock version.
"Look Over Yonder" is from 1968 with 'The Jimi Hendrix Experience' ~~ A solid and wild track.
The long version of 'Hear My Train?' was recorded during the first of two shows the evening of May, 1970 Berkeley California and is magical magic fingers version...
Listen to 'Hey Babe' and notice the flavour or cues from his great Woodstock appearance during 'Villanova Junction' which indicates that this title was already a blue print for a while. The vocals are poignant, the groove is so moving, and the overall feel is just great.
Even though 'Rainbow Bridge' peaked quite high in the charts (#15 in the USA) it was deleted and remains a long time gone rarity in the Hendrix catalogue as a first pressing...here, one of the best copies come across in ages...
