LP.  Colonna Sonora Originale (O.ST.)  TOOMORROW conosciuto pure come (aka) TOGETHER (Italia)

     MARK BARKAN & RITCHIE ADAMS

Etichetta e numero di catalogo : RCA LSA3008

Paese, anno d’edizione : ENGLAND - 1970

Condition : front laminated cover has been foolishly taped for a length of about 13 cm along the top edge, note, please, scans No.1 and 2. In the corresponding part on the back you can see a moderate abrasion in all probability caused by an attempt to remove the tape. Otherwise some flaws of ordinary administration: a bit of ring wear and some creases on front lamination. There are no tears or writings, spine is in perfect condition, it lacks the advertising insert with photos of the group, VG++ / vinyl has some scuffs and surface marks which do not affect at all listening, EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Notes : musical comedy where aliens kidnap a band. The group is called Toomorrow as well as the title of the movie and features the singer Olivia Newton John here on her first LP. The other members of the group are Karl Chambers, drums, Ben Thomas, guitar, vocals and Vic Cooper, organ, piano, sax, guitar and recorder. All compositions are by Mark Barkan and Ritchie Adams with the exception of "Spaceport" (b3) which is by Hugo Montenegro. Music supervision by Don Kirshner, the producer of the Monkees. Three instrumental pieces and nine songs with the common denominator of a genuine and pleasant liveliness both in sound and singing. Some characteristics typically from pop music of 60s blend in little psychedelic veins and even soul. Olivia Newton-John sings solo the beautiful "Goin'Back" (b6), plays duets or alternates in the same song with Ben Thomas and vocally supports in the background some other tracks . In a few words, a fun and enjoyable album.
