We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

ORIGINAL 1967 first pressing of one of the underrated all time blues-rock greats ...Of the best electric blues/boogie album you'll hear. All the songs are really good, including the originals. Magic Sam was one of the great blues guitar players and his vocals are equally great. The band swings like crazy, too. Great album to just crank up and groove too.

West Side Soul is considered one of the touchstone albums of Chicago blues, Magic Sam successfully fusing urban soul with a traditional Chicago blues and creating a blueprint on which most subsequent electric blues music is based. Sam worked in the studio with second guitarist Mighty Joe Young (no slouch himself!), bassists Earnest Johnson and Mac Thompson; keyboardist Stockholm Slim; and drummers Odie Payne Jr. and Odie Payne III.
These are the talents that put together one of the landmark works in the blues, twelve red-hot tunes including the classic "Sweet Home Chicago," Willie Dixon's "My Love Will Never Die," J.B. Lenoir's "Mama Talk To Your Daughter," and "All Your Love," written by Otis Rush and maybe Willie Dixon, and adapted by Magic Sam for an unbelievable performance.

CONDITION: The cover: The cover is still in original factory shrink wrapper, but, one of those rare times where the tightness of the outer cellophane wrapper caused the cover to bow a little along the exposed pocket opening, not bad but can't give a MINT rating...still it's TOP clean, call it VG++ near excellent, still very collectible and almost never found in original cellophane after 43 years....all solid elsewhere, with no split seams, no writing...
The vinyl: nice clean M- over both sides...really clear & smooth and plays nice without distraction...just pure mean blues jams...with clean labels too....
