We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

1968 pop/psychedelic rock album is chock full of spacey instrumentation, utilizing 'pepperland' production, similiar to those used on the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper" album; the theme of the album is based on the thoughts & feelings experienced if one were 'high' on L.S.D.
RARE 1968 ORIGINAL advance release WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL of a plenty rare one on the highly rated Metromedia label, home to a handful of lost gems...so here's the always scarce ASTRAL PROJECTION filled with '68 sunshine poprock and a thoroughly swinging vibe to lift your head in the clouds...
We find this one exceptionally groovy. Even more than the Millennium's Begin, we feel like these cats are trying to induct us into some strange hippy cult. We'll dance around like the Brady Bunch on the days that Greg got high, sugarcubes in hand. That said, this sunshine pop is not musically in the same league as Curt Boettcher's productions (like the aforementioned Millennium), and it's far trippier than the a lot of the West Coast sunshine sounds albums. Usually there are tracks on some sunshine pop albums that leave us running in terror, but the tracks on the Astral Projection are exceptionally smooth. Yes, there is a pretty thick layer of hooks for your head, and the arrangements hold just enough restraint to keep aware from complete kitsch, and the vocals are very well done. One of the TOP highlights here is "The Happening People," which we hope ended up on some soundtrack for a low-budget counterculture documentary. You may find yourself humming "Whatta We Gotta Lose." We'd like to think that the answer to that question is far more disturbing than the groovy song. "Plant Your Seed" seeks to pose a misguided rebuttal to family planning, but in a very groovy way. We find most of the songs with parentheticals in the titles to stand out as well. These glue together the album concept of exploring the astral plane together, but we imagine that you have to join their cult before you do so. Hopefully it's a little more charitable than the Manson Family. Just as a little side note, the last track sounds like it REALLY wants to be a blueprint "Homeward Bound," but the hipsters in the Astral Projection just could quite justify paying residuals to those superstars.
Giving this a listen fills us with peace, love, and the urge to drop acid in the sunshine land of the lost sixties...
The Astral Scene is one of those weirdly compelling poprock albums that could have only emanated from the Age of Aquarius. A conceptual undertaking meant to reveal the wondrous cycle of the telepathic phenomenon of Astral Projection. The album somehow manages to communicate the complex precepts of astral experience in lay terms and remain deliciously frothy swinging poprock at the softest, most easy-listening end of the spectrum. It works the same sonic conceit as the stable of similar bands like Ballroom, Sagittarius, and Millennium produced or helmed by Curt Boettcher, only without the countercultural credibility and legitimately trippy factor found here...

CONDITION: The cover is stiff and solid with just a little bit of insignificant (small) shelf wear starting. There is also small thin impression lines at top right, but not distracting (see photo it's minor) Strong VG++ and back cover is "EX"cellent with company promo stamp which only raises the value as a limited pre-release ...otherwise strong colors, no split seams, no bends, no writing.
The vinyl is all glossy clean M- top level over both sides with CLEAN white promo labels ... a TOP example of a totally clean 42 year old sixties artifact.
