SHORTS CRAZY
Here’s a boppin’ slice of Texas rockabilly that lives in that middleground between rockabilly and country bop. It’s “Shorts Crazy” and is by Mac McCray along with Rosa’s String Band. The Ford Records label is from Waco, Texas. This is probably from 1955-’56 and was also available as a 78rpm, although both versions are pretty doggone rare.
If the song sounds familiar, it might be from his other version of the same song that he cut for Longhorn Records, ten years AFTER this original version.
On the flipside is “Where We’ll Never Be Parted Again.”
