Description
Mad River: same (7" EP) 1967, USA/Wee 10021. Disc looks VG+ with some light hairlines, plays close to M- on side one while side two has some ticks and pops even though this side looks a bit nicer... maybe it needs a machine cleaning? Picture sleeve has some ringwear and creases, no splits, this is VG+ as well. ORIGINAL of this holy grail Bay Area gem from the psych era, Mad River's first release pre-Capitol on the tiny Berkeley private label! Their sound here is more Eastern than on their LPs, including some chanting on the side-long "Windchimes". There's an amazing embryonic version of the prog monster from their first LP "Amphetamine Gazelle" plus an otherwise unavailable Lawrence Hammond track, "Orange Fire". All three recordings are exclusive to this EP. Not a counterfeit, this is a mega-rare original in clean shape!

I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the picture sleeves to prevent seam splits, and all items are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.
