Description
-TITLE : "MAD "TWISTS" ROCK&ROLL" ................................ -ARTIST(S) : THE DELLWOODS , Mike Russo, and Jeanne Hayes.................. -LABEL : NM - BIG TOP - 12-1305 - MONO - Silver on Black, no spindle marks, perfect, looks like new....................... -DISC : VG++ - Has a single, very light paper scuff that was nearly invisible, and does not affect play is the only thing that kept me from grading higher, It looks like new, the vinyl has a lovely black,mirror-like sheen, almost 45yrs old,and this disc looks like new ! , very attractive BIG TOP label sends shivers down the spine of collectors, 1961 was a time when "MAD" was a magazine read by many, and many times hidden from parents who worried we'd be corrupted by it's satire, and humor..., Well, they were right ! , MAD corrupted the whole generation ! , hehehe, (Thank God ! )................................................... -COVER : VG++ - only a tiny bit of wear on one corner keeps this from NM rating, It's like new in every other respect., perfect, shines like a new car ! ........................ -COMMENTS : Here's a culturally significant bit of history that would look WONDERFUL framed, and hung in a place of honor..., Alfred E. Neuman deserves no less ! , See the Photos, That familiar face gives all who see it a sense of well being..., (and thank-ful WE don't look like that ! ,hehehe), with "MAD" having evolved to being a comedy TV show,as well as magazines, movies ,etc., Having this rare, & vintage, MAD artifact from 1961 is especially cool, AND a good investment ! , Check your price guides, This little Gem lists at over $100, and is a sure bet to keep climbing in value.., MAD is "important" culturally, and history will show it affected American life in a big way I predict., Also, see my other auctions for more vinyl treasure., Thank-You, and GOOD LUCK !
