Description

Madhouse was a funk-jazz fusion band from Minneapolis, Minnesota formed by Prince with some of his band members in 1987. The band members for Madhouse 8 are: Eric Leeds - Saxophone, John Lewis - Drums, Bill Lewis - Bass, Austra Chanel - Keyboards. Austra Chanel was a pseudonym for Prince for the project. Madhouse was the idea of Prince and his saxophone player Eric Leeds, whose influence can be felt throughout the recording. The vinyl has a nice shine and plays NM except for a minor vinyl wart that causes a faint bump for several rotations during the third track on Side 1. The cover has some shelf wear and a promo stamp at the top front (see photos). All vinyl is play tested and conservatively visually graded under a bright light using the Goldmine grading system.
