MADONNA Lucky Star (Ultra Rare South African Vinyl LP)
This is the ultra rare and totally official South African Warner Bros. pressing of Madonna’s first album titled “Lucky Star” in South Africa only. This 8 track album includes Madonna’s earliest hits: “Burning Up”, “Borderline “Holiday” and “Lucky Star”. Over the last 25 years I have only seen two other copies for sale.
Originally, Madonna’s first album was going to be titled “Lucky Star”, but at the last minute her record company changed their mind and decided to call it “Madonna” instead. However, in South Africa, they retained the original title of the album on the record labels (see picture). The record jacket features a slightly different design to most other countries making it more collectible than the standard LP pressings.
Very few of these records were produced and released in South Africa and Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe and South Africa editions have slightly different labels and rear sleeve designs. The reworked sleeve design and record labels are exclusive to the South African market.

PLEASE READ CONDITION DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY:?
• SLEEVE: (Very Good ++):?The condition of the sleeve is graded as "Very Good ++" - see attached photos. There are some slight age stains and mild shelf wear (which is common for records over 30 years old from this region) there is a small scuff in the top right hand corner and a price sticker on the lower part of the cover (see pics) - but otherwise in great shape. ?
• RECORD (Excellent):?The vinyl record is graded as "Excellent" see attached photos. There are no visible scratches, I have not played it so I cannot confirm if it skips but the appearance of the vinyl looks very clean and in great shape overall. There is a very tiny scuff on side 2 of the vinyl which will seems superficial but I cannot confirm is it effects play.
