GIANT UK DOUBLE QUAD 60x40 ROCK/POP ADVERTISING PROMOTIONAL POSTERS
These posters are often referred to as Subway or Fly Posters and were used to promote the release of new singles, albums or tours in the UK. The early 1980's was when they first started printing really high quality, full colour posters in this particular format for the music industry and will always be the best era for them ( the golden age of this type of poster ). Some were printed in larger numbers to be put up all over the country, while others were printed in relatively small numbers, just to be put up in London for example. I was in the music business in the 1980's and early 90's and decided to collect the very best of these posters - the ones that everyone wanted ( popular artist/band combined with great artwork ), but with very limited availabilty ( only a handful not stuck up and destroyed ). I am going to be listing a few of these rare posters, all from my personal collection. They have been kept carefully rolled and are in the same condition as when I acquired them, at the time of release. Many of these large posters were folded horizontally by the printers and because of their size, usually came with minor handling imperfections. Overall condition is as good as it gets and you are unlikely to see better examples of any of these posters. I ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE THAT THESE POSTERS ARE GENUINE ORIGINALS.
