Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my pop and progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare first UK Promotional Picture Disk pressing of Madonna – You Can Dance on Sire Records, cat no. PRO–MAD–1 with the big photo of Madonna one side and the information on the other side 2. Further, this record has to be played on 45 RPM.
Songs featured are: "Spotlight", " Holiday", "Everybody", "Physical Attraction", "Over and Over", "Into the Groove", "Where’s the Party".
The record is in VG++ condition, there are a some non sounding hairlines and superficial marks only.
The record comes with a heavy duty plastic outer sleeve, which is replaceable, so no grading for the outer sleeve.
This is an extremely rare original promotional picture disk Madonna’s You Can Dance album. This is not a later repressing, which turns up more often. This copy has a sharp print of the picture (the later repressing has a more blurred image) ,only one photo on side 1 (the repressing has pictures of Madonna on both sides) and the PRO-MAD-1 catalogue number on the bottom of both sides (the repressing has no catalogue number printed at the bottom). This original Madonna Promo Picture Disk was produced in very limited quantities and is not offered very regular these days, so this is your chance to complete your Madonna record collection.
