Scarce UK folk LP by Magenta entitled 'Canterbury Moon' on the Cottage label (Cot.821) from 1978
A very nice album of mostly original material, largely written by Arthur Brown, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with a couple of traditional numbers thrown in for good measure.
This copy would grade as VERY GOOD PLUS for the record and the sleeve, it has a few minor issues as detailed below:
Vinyl has a little bit of surface noise throughout, a professional clean would probably improve the listening experience. There is a repeating click for about 10 revolutions on side one between tracks one and two and another at the beginning of side two for a similar length, elsewhere is the odd single pop but no jumps or prolonged repeating clicks and the music plays without distortion. There is a plain white inner sleeve. The outer sleeve has general light handling wear which amounts to a couple of slight creases, a tiny surface tear on the front to the second 'o' in the word 'moon' and a bit of light staining to the edge of the bottom left corner and a couple of similar spots on the spine, it is however relatively clean and other than the faults mentioned, pretty solid and undamaged - The sleeve is signed on the rear by Pete, Janet, Mervyn, Arthur, and someone called John, although he doesn't appear on the LP. Also included is a double-sided lyric insert similar in design to sleeve.
