There is no finer boxed set of anything in my possession, musically. The reason for this is plain:
There simply is no finer piano player, in my view, and here, in the release by Connoisseur of "Beethoven," you will find the incomparable Ivan Moravec at work on APPASSIONATA, MOONLIGHT, PASTORAL, LES ADIEUX, and PATHETIQUE, plus 32 VARIATIONS ON AN ORIGINAL THEME and CONCERTO 4 IN G MAJOR.
That this man can play at a level that is almost mystical, makes it so very hard to describe. But at night, lights low, I promise you, you will hear it. Notes of grace, helpless to do anything but pay tribute to an effortless, shining flow of truth, revelation, beauty.
There is nothing to be faulted here. Box is very handsome and smart, no major flaws, all corners intact. Inside, the booklet is fine and all four records – heavy platters -- should play near mint.
One of the most extraordinary piano sets I know of. Close to magic.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $16 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
