This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything (LP's were also really expensive to most people back then!!!) and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition!!! AN absolute classic LP from this incredible band!!! An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60's / 70's record collection!!!

Very First Original UK Pressing On The Black and White Swirl Vertigo Label

CONDITION

Matt-Textured Gatefold Sleeve: Excellent

 The beautifully designed matt-textured gatefold sleeve is in superb condition, especially considering this sleeve is now nearly a 40 years old artefact!!. The corners are nice and square, the seams are tight with only a little minor shelf wear on the lower edges, sharp opening edges, solid straight spine with only one tiny little bump and minor rubbing. The interior of the gatefold contains the printed song lyrics and is unmarked. The rear of the sleeve has an almost unnoticeable little crease. Overall a beautiful example of this early Vertigo sleeve which shows only very light signs of handling. There are NO seam splits, NO tears, NO rips and NO writing on the sleeve. The cover grades a solid EX if not better.

Original Vertigo Swirl Inner Sleeve: Excellent

Light creases with white tipp-ex covering some feint writing near one corner.....This is the ORIGINAL Black and White VERTIGO SWIRL poly-lined inner sleeve

Both sides are CLEAN and UNMARKED with NO stickers, NO tears, NO writing and only some feint spindle traces.

Vinyl: Excellent (+)

The THICK CHUNKY 1st PRESS STEREO VINYL retains it's original SUPER HIGH GLOSS SURFACES with NO SCRATCHES OR SCUFFS. Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks FABULOUS with NO nasty marks, NO scuffs, NO scratches, NO fingerprints, and NO groovewear whatsoever!!! The only blemishes off TRUE perfection are only a TINY amount of ULTRA light, wispy sleeve traces (only visible in mega strong angled light) from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes interfere with play AT ALL!!! Visually and aurally both sides are in beautiful EXCELLENT (+) condition!! The record plays and sounds superb. The music always sounds great and the sound quality is excellent.  The record plays superbly throughout with only very minor traces of static on the run in and between tracks.

Records Are Graded In The Following Way:

MINT (M): The record displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.

EXCELLENT (EX): Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG): Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects

GOOD (G): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing

+ or - : Indicates slightly better (+) or slightly lesser (-) condition than main grade

Packing Procedures: All 12" / LPs are securely and well packed in top quality material to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit. When posted the records are removed from the cover, if possible, and placed in a PVC outer protective sleeve to prevent sleeve splits in the post. I use brand new mailers, either the envelope style with thick stiffeners to prevent any sleeve bends in transit, or the "cruciform" style that wrap around the LP. I aim to dispatch all items within 48 hours of receiving payment. It is recommended that you choose the insurance option for higher value items. As stated above I cannot be held responsible for any item(s) lost or damaged in the post that are not shipped via insured / registered mail. I always obtain a certificate proof of posting receipt for every item sent, which will complete our transaction.
