MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, 60s GARAGE 45, ARKANSAS, V-8 LABEL
Vee-Eight label, Pine Bluff, Arkansas related group. NOTE: This is not the group that is on Dial, Dimension, etc., labels. Not sure date, probably around 1964. Condition is VG -. Side 1 is Ooh-Poo-Pah-Doo. Rocking and rolling, almost novelty sound. Sam the Sham & Pharoahs/Ray Stevens comes to mind. Treble guitar lead workout. Side 2 is Baby Doll. Another rocker! Spare and primitive, with lots of treble lead guitar. Fun and dancey, kind of dark. Great tempo change at end.
