Those pleasant moments celebrated around the rest of the world as the cocktail hour are known in Hawaii as Mai Tai Time, after the refreshing, potent drink that is as native to the islands as palm fronds and hula girls, warm trade breezes and shifting coral sands.
The instrumental music in this album is the kind you'll hear at Mai Tai Time, wherever you may choose to sit and sip- relaxed, melodious sounds that caress the ear and make the present reality more satisfying than any dream. 
It is played by Eddie Lund, a brilliant keyboard artist famous in all the South Pacific ports for more than twenty years as pianist and organist and composer of island songs.
It is the organ Eddie plays here, in a setting of lilting Hawaiian instruments. 
He plays some of the loveliest of his own compositions, including Blue Coral Sea, Lovely Lotus Flower, and Hinano Lei. 
He also caresses a selection of the most beautiful of the well-known island songs, among them Blue Hawaii, Now Is The Hour, and Webley Edwards and Leon Pober's delightful Pearly Shells.
Like the famous Mai Tai itself, this music is sweet to the senses, but also very potent.
Hearing it, the listener is carried unresistingly away to an island reverie complete with soft nights, blue lagoons, and a secluded table for two at Mai Tai Time.
