Extremely rare and collectable italian original pressing of  performances by ENRICO MAINARDI on Cello and CARLO ZECCHI on Piano.


ENRICO MAINARDI - CARLO ZECCHI - BRAHMS: Sonate per Violoncello e Pianoforte Op. 38/Op. 99

Conditions:

 COVER is VG to EX

The cover is beautiful and clean: the spine is completely readable and near perfect. The only defect is a split of 1,5 cm.  in the right corner on the top side.

RECORD is VG

Visual: the vinyl presents 3/4 very light signs, but no deep marks or scratches. Labels are Excellent, with a minimal presence of spindle marks.

Audio: a background noise is audible from the left channel in the quieter parts, particularly during the first movement on the side A. No  jumps and no repeats. Some clicks and pops: Side A (Op. 38) about 10 on the first mov., about 10 on the second mov., two on the third mov.; Side B (Op. 99) some very light clicks on right channel (about 10), few clicks/pops here and there on sec. mov., 2/3 click/pops on third mov.  Voices of Cello and Piano are strong, clean and loud.

I haven’t  washed the record, because I haven’t got a professional wash-machine.

At last, I tried to describe every unfavorable aspect of this very rare record. Despite them, I believe it’s  more than a decent copy.

 

My grading is:  P    G    VG    EX    M (European grading)
