Description
1972 Record Album by “MAMA LION” Entitled “PRESERVE WILDLIFE” in “STEREO” on Family Productions Record Label No.FPS-2702 in Excellent Condition!
The Vocals of Lynn Carey and the Music of the Group MAMA LION is somewhat reminiscent of Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company. Lynn Carey like Janis Joplin has a Powerful Voice and the Group does a Great Rendition of “Can’t Find My Way Home” by Blind Faith. Lynn Carey was also the voice of the Carrie Nations from Russ Meyer's Classic Movie “Beyond the Valley of the Dolls!
The Record Album Gatefold Cover is in VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) Condition. The Front Cover Bars of the Cage are Intact and Still Attached to the Cover with a Small Amount of Wear on the Middle Bar. (See Photograph)
There is a 1/8” Saw Cut at the Bottom Lower Left Corner.
The Inside Cover Featuring a Semi-Nude Picture of Lynn Cary Breast Feeding a Lion Cub is Clear and Concise.
The Rear Cover as can be seen Exhibits Ring Wear
The Record Covers Spine and Seams are Intact; however, there is a slight amount of wear on the Top and Bottom of the Gatefold.
The Vinyl Record Exhibits a Nice Glossy Luster and is in Near Mint Condition; however, Depending upon the Light and How the Record is viewed, there are a couple of Almost Imperceptible Very Fine Hairline Sleeve Marks on Side One, Song One.
The Records Labels are in Near Mint Condition with “NO” Perceptible Spindle Marks!
The sound quality of the Vinyl Record is Outstanding. There is a very slight crackling when the stylus initially sets down in the deep grove at the beginning with an occasional slight crackle in between Songs and an Occasional Tick otherwise the Vinyl Record produced a remarkably Audibly Clean, Clear and Crisp sound.
The Record Album was played on a Technics SL1300 Mk2 Turn Table with a GRADO Diamond Stylus through a Yamaha Component sound system with the Vertical Downward Force and Horizontal Tracking Force on the Tone Arm set at 1.5 grams Respectively.
This Is An ORIGINAL 1972 U.S. Pressing; this Is Not A Reissue, Reproduction, Remanufacture, Import, Or Counterfeit Pressing.
