MANDRAKE - "Mandrake": This is a U.S. vinyl LP pressing of raunchy Texas-style barroom hard rock with a loose feel that was co-produced by HUEY P. MEAUX and released by his Crazy Cajun Records label in 1978. This LP was sealed when I bought it, and I opened it and played it once. The shrinkwrap is intact, and the cover is nearly perfect, with only very minor wear. The disc is nearly perfect, and looks just as it did when I first opened it before playing it.
NOTE: Even though the dates that are printed on the back cover indicate that this LP was released in 1978, stylistically & sonically the music & recording/production make it seem like the songs on this LP had been recorded in an earlier era...it's like the raunchy hard rock sound of the very late 1960's or early 1970's rather than the slicker hard rock sound that had become prevalent by 1978. You might find more information about this LP in Patrick Lundborg's book "Acid Archives"(the 2nd edition)....
