MANFRED MANN   VINYL LP  FONTANA TL 5377  MONO   1966  UK pressing

RARE SLEEVE   

  This is the first pressing of this fine album  with the  rare “Locomotive “  sleeve with   an excellent and hugely enjoyable set of jazz blues and soul tracks   and perhaps even Psych on "You’re my girl “ - in 1966 Manfred Mann ‘s line up changed with  Mike D’Abo  replacing Paul Jones on vocals and  Klaus Voorman joined on bass and designed the cover - Perhaps more associated with the Beatles Cover design . This new line up soon created a very varied

and fine album-  A pretty rare album from one of the most under-rated  bands of the 60s

CONDITION 


Condition of Sleeve is VERY GOOD - There is a little wear at the corners on the rear sleeve

and the front sleeve has been repaired with document repair tape at the spine edge just above the track listing  - ( see Photo 2) 

Back Sleeve shows a little discolouration and wear particularly at the corners - ( see Photo 3)


Vinyl is again VERY GOOD with a few light surface marks - 


Side 1 -Visually  is Close to Excellent  with just one tiny mark at the end of band 6 ( about 4mm)  Audibly- VERY GOOD  there are occasional light  crackles more particularly on track 2 during  the quietest passages


Side 2 - VERY GOOD  - Visually again close to Excellent - There is one light transverse mark across the first 5 tracks - which was inaudible on my deck ( Goldring Lencko) so Audibly  EXCELLENT
