Manfred mann, vintage "VERTIGO SWIRL". A 1st press from 1969.

A lovely vinyl copy with no warping or damage. Some very slight hairlines visable only under extreme bright white light & a little storage wear visable only at an angle. The record has been stored out of any direct sunlight for years, So a little bit of pressure mark on the play in rims (no issues to impare the sound though). Pretty much perfect play, a little background noise in the quiter places. lovely shine original gloss on the vinyl with no surface issues such as - needle thrash, scratched marks, chips, burns, nail scuffs. Overall the vinyl & the record condition are more than perfectly acceptable as 95% out of 100%. A great looking and impressive sounding example of the swirl kind.

Labels are out of 100% 80% perfect with minimal spindle wear only visable at an angle under bright white light. no ripping or tears, no handwritten names or fade, damp etc. NICE!!

The gatefold cover is excellent outside & inside it retains a positive look for its age. (Better looking than some people the same age)...Remember its over 40 years in age. So expect a slight bit of wear - BUT NO TEAR. Intact spine with no splitting of the side. A slight bit of wear here he corners also have slight wear and the back has minimal ringwear at the bottom and top. All in all about 90% correct.

The inner original swirl dust bag still has its poly inner attached and is in excellent condition. Its more than done a fantastic job of protecting the record inside. No plays for over 35 years.

I've so far sold some of my vertigo records. Cressida, gentle giant, vertigo annual, fairfield parlour etc and people have been more than happy with what they recieve. Positive feedback left every time. 

The most common asked question is "how good a play has the vinyl" apparently vertigo pressings can be a little touch and go down to the age sometimes. This one is more than excelent even close to near mint. But...I will stick with this grade to be sure. Not played more than 3 or 4 times in its life. So don't miss out. Record will be packed in a tough custom box DEFENDAPACK mailer as shown in the photos below. The mailer has a locking tab. The record will be placed outside the cover inside a polythene protector between two card stiffeners and sealed at the top with fragile marked masking tape.

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
