Condizioni : la copertina mostra qualche modesto raggrinzimento sugli angoli e poche tracce di lieve usura; bello stato, EX / il vinile presenta intorno al foro centrale dell'etichetta segni di logoramento. Alcuni segni superficiali condizionano l'ascolto con qualche lieve clicchettio e pochi fruscii soprattutto nelle zone non incise; bello stato, VG++  

Condition : cover shows some moderate creasing on the corners and a few traces of slight wear, EX / vinyl has some spindle marks on both sides of the label. Some surface marks affect the listening with few hisses mainly on the dead wax and some light clicks, VG++

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musica talmente conosciuta e bella che è del tutto inutile commentare. Ricordo soltanto che "Les enfants du Pirée" interpretata da Melina Mercouri vinse il premio Oscar 1961 per la migliore canzone originale. Oltre alla copertina stampata unicamente in Germania, l'album si distingue per un'altra peculiarità. All'epoca tutti gli LP a 12 pollici pubblicati in varie nazioni, come ad esempio, USA, Grecia, Regno Unito, Francia e così via, contenevano 14 brani mentre qui sono 12. Sul primo lato manca la ballata "The Charmes of Ilya" anche se viene riportata sia nel retrocopertina che nell'etichetta. Nel secondo lato è assente "Speak softly", in questo caso senza alcuna indicazione. 

Notes : a so well known and wonderful music that it is pointless commenting. I just remember that "Les enfants du Pirée" performed by Melina Mercouri won in 1961 the Academy Award for Best Original Song. In addition to the cover art printed only in Germany, this album is characterized by another peculiarity. At that time all the 12-inch LPs issued in various countries, such as USA, Greece, United Kingdom, France and so on, contained 14 tracks and here are 12. On the first side lacks the ballad "The Charmes of Ilya" although it is listed on the back cover and  label. In the second side it is absent "Speak softly", in this case without any indication.

Per i pochissimi che non conoscono il film: commedia sentimentale prodotta da Stati Uniti e Grecia. Regia di Jules Dassin, con Melina Mercouri, lo stesso Jules Dassin, Giorgios Foundas e Titos Vandis.
