Description

Up for auction we have an original UK pressing of Mapleoak's first and only album featuring songs written by The Kink's own Pete Quaife.

The bidding starts at $10.00 with No Reserve!

Wikipedia describes how "After leaving The Kinks, Quaife founded a new band, the country/rock outfit, Mapleoak. The group's name derived from the heritage of its members: The 'Maple' represented the two Canadian members of the group. Singer-songwriters Stan Endersby (born 17 July 1947, in Lachine, Quebec, Canada) and Marty Fisher (born 24 December 1945, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada), while the 'Oak' represented British members Quaife and drummer Mick Cook."

This is an extremely rare item and difficult to find in collectible condition.  Fortunately, the one we have here for auction is an excellent copy.

Vinyl Condition:  A strong VG+, We grade conservatively and the record falls between VG+ and EX due to a few paper scuffs and a superficial 1cm mark that does not affect play, making the play grade a strong EX.

Sleeve Condition:  A strong VG+, Light ring wear and slight discoloration due to age as seen in the photos above.  No seam splits, tears, writing, or damage to the corners.

Label:  Decca SKL 5085  Original U.K. Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound Stereo Pressing.
