Description

Up for auction is SOON by MARANTHA self-released in New Milford, New Jersey. This is an original pressing with black label and silver lettering. The sleeve is in VG+ condition. No cuts, saw marks, promo stamps or stickers. Light wear to edges, spine is perfect. Some water damage to lower left corner. Still covered in shrink wrap, but not sealed. Vinyl is VG+ w/no flaws to mention . Songs are:DO YOU KNOW MY JESUS/MARANTHA/LET US RISE/JESUS, SON OF GOD/RESURRECTION/RAPTURE SONG/I FOUND JESUS/DEEPER THAN THE MIGHTY ROLLING SEA/COMING OF THE LORD/AMEN. Message on back reads:"Marantha(Lord come quickly)is composed of seven men who had been entangled in a seasrch for meaning to life: a search for reason. This odyssey touched the paths of mysticism: led us through the sub-culture of drugs: included radical politics. The pilgrimage has ended. We have received new life."  Here's a review of the album: "Although they’re from the opposite end of the country, New Jersey’s Maranatha has that same longhaired homegrown west-coast guitar psych sound as Spokane’s Wilson McKinley. In fact I might go so far as to say that Soon is on equal footing with the classic Spirit Of Elijah – it’s that good. Guitarist Charlie Rizzo would later emerge with the more Southern-edged Emmaus Road Band, but here the style seems much more garage angled and hippie jamming. Loud hard-rock electric action on ‘Maranatha’, ‘Resurrection’, ‘Deeper Than The Mighty Rolling Sea’, and ‘Coming Of The Lord’, while ‘Do You Know My Jesus’, ‘Let Us Rise’ and ‘Amen’ explore more acoustic moods. Some fun lively ‘Johnny B Goode’-styled r&r on ‘I Found Jesus’. An insanely rare private press and easily one of the top US Christian monsters." Please be sure to check out my other Xian psych and folk auctions.  I accept Paypal and money orders only. Please see below for more info on shipping and grading. NOTE: I CAN ONLY SHIP WITH DELIVERY CONFIRMATION(only .50cents with priority shipping). THIS INSURES THAT THE ITEM CAN BE TRACKED. I'VE HAD A FEW PEOPLE CLAIM TO NOT GET THEIR PACKAGES AND IT ENDS UP CAUSING ME MORE TROUBLE THAN IT'S WORTH. FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS, YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT UNLESS YOU PURCHASE INSURANCE OR CONFIRMATION THAT IT WAS DELIVERED, I CANNOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOST OR DAMAGED PACKAGES. IT'S A SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR PIECE OF MIND. Thank you and check out my other unique and collectible record auctions! All records are play graded and visually inspected. Below is a guide to how I grade records. I collect records and love music, so I feel it necessary to test out vinyl before I sell it. I wouldn’t sell you something that I wouldn’t buy myself. I try to grade honestly and thoroughly. My grading is as follows: NM:My highest grade (unless brand new & sealed) both sleeve and vinyl are nearly flawless. No edge or ring wear. No seam damage and entry wear. Vinyl looks and plays like new with no surface marks at all. VG+:Means a great condition copy. Maybe some minor shelf wear or light edge, ring or entry wear, but again, very minor. Vinyl is clean, plays without surface noise and contains no flaws. VG:Means nice playable copy. Record is obviously aged or used, but is still in very nice overall condition. May have some wear or light sleeve wear such as ring, edge and maybe minor seam wear. Vinyl may contain some surface wear, light scratches and/or scuffs. Surface noise is light, but doesn’t interfere with sound quality. Fair:Means has been played and enjoyed. Sleeve will have ring wear, edge wear and seam wear. Vinyl contains audible noise (pops, crackling, etc…)Very rarely do I list records under this grading unless absolutely collectible. Hope this helps. Feel free to email me with any ???’s. As a side note, all pictures you see, are of the actual item you are bidding on and not taken from elsewhere (internet, other auctions, etc..). I hope to establish a loyal and happy clientele and continue to provide collectible records to all you vinyl lover’s out there. Payment terms: I accept Paypal and money orders only! Payment must be made within 7 days of auctions’ end, unless other arrangements are made. Those who fail to do so will be given negative feedback and the item will be relisted.
